Paul Massey

BA (Hons) MSc MCSP SRP

Paul is the principal physiotherapist for The Partnership, and has a particular interest in sports injuries, having worked for several years with Olympic sportsmen at the Games and home with their injuries and programmes for prevention. He works closely with governing bodies of athletics, swimming, and hockey, both at home and internationally, and has attended numerous Olympic and Commonwealth Games, and world championships with a number of these sports.

As well as a physiotherapist, Paul is also a Pilates instructor, having trained with Body Control Pilates, and now acting as a consultant to the organisation. His Pilates experience has led him to write several books on the practice, working on areas of back care, sports injuries, and travel wellbeing.

Paul has received the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Award 2000 (Team Award). He lectures worldwide on sports injuries and Pilates and acts as a consultant to national dance companies and British Airways (in-flight wellbeing programme).

Alison graduated in 1987 in Cape Town, South Africa, with a Bachelor of Science (Physiotherapy) degree. She subsequently worked in hospitals and private practice in both South Africa and the UK.

Her special interest is in ‘muscle as a source of pain’ and she has spent several years lecturing on this subject throughout the UK. She is registered with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and the Health Professions Council and recognised by several private health insurance companies.

Alison Taylor
Fiona Simmonds

Fiona graduated as a physiotherapist in 2000 and is also a member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP). She has 11 years of experience working as a specialist physiotherapist for the Royal Air Force and as a team physiotherapist for Icarus FC, the RAF Officers’ football club.

Fiona also has a special interest in the assessment and treatment of children with dyspraxia, handwriting difficulties, and other coordination problems. Fiona qualified as a Dru Yoga teacher in 2006 and as a Dru Meditation teacher in 2018. She also teaches Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra and passionately believes in yoga’s therapeutic benefits.

Rob graduated as a physiotherapist in New Zealand in 1982. He has worked in private practice in New Zealand, Australia, and the UK for many years.

He has postgraduate qualifications in manipulation and has taught physiotherapy graduates in this area in the UK. He has also been practicing acupuncture for physiotherapy conditions since 1988. Rob’s main interest is in sports and spinal injuries.

Millie Knight

Millie is a four-time Paralympic medallist in alpine skiing. She has been a qualified Level 4 Sports Massage Therapist for nine years and has a keen interest in sports and musculoskeletal conditions.

With a background in skiing and karate, Millie has gained valuable experience treating a diverse range of clients, including athletes, individuals with disabilities, and those undergoing pre- and post-operative care. Millie is passionate about helping people improve their wellbeing and is committed to providing the best treatment possible.

Treatment

When you have an injury, we work with you to work out exactly what’s wrong and based on our extensive expertise and experience, devise a tailor made treatment plan to resolve the problem.

RESTORATION

Once we have got you to a stage where you injury is healed, we then give you a rehabilitation programme to restore your strength and enable you to resume your sporting activities.
